- 1 TBSP Chili Powder
- 2 TSP Onion Powder
- 1 TSP Ground Cumin
- 1 TSP Garlic Powder
- 1 TSP Paprika
- 1 TSP Ground Oregano
- 1 TSP Sugar
- 1/2 TSP Salt
- Makes equivalent to a 1.25 ounce package of commercial taco seasoning

Peanut Brittle
- 3 CUP White Sugar
- 1/2 CUP Water
- 3 TSP Butter
- 2 TSP SODA
- 1 CUP White Karo Syrup
- 3 CUP Raw Peanuts
- 1 TSP Salt
Boil Sugar, Karo and Water until Thread Spins.
Add Raw Peanuts and Stir continuously until mixture turns a brownish gold.
Take from fire, add Butter and Salt and Soda.
Soda will cause mixture to foam up.
Pour mixture onto buttered cookie sheet (with sides!) to cool.

Old Fashioned Tea Cakes
This is a recipe from my grandmother "Nunnie"
- 3 Eggs
- 1 CUP Shortening
- 2 CUP Sugar
- 2 TBSP Water
- 1 TSP Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 TSP Salt
- 3 CUP Flour
- ALTERNATE Variety
- 1 CUP Butter
- 2 CUP Sugar
- 3 Eggs
- 4 CUP Flour
- 1 TSP Baking Powder
- 1 TSP Vanilla
- Mix wet ingredients together well
- Sift dry ingredients and add to wet
- Roll out and cut with cutter
- Bake at 350
Peanut Butter Cookies
1 CUP Shortening
1 CUP White Sugar
1 CUP Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
1 TSP Vanilla
1 CUP Peanut Butter
2 CUP Sifted Flour
2 TSP Baking Soda
3/8 or 1/2 TSP Salt
Cream Shortening, Sugars, Eggs & Vanilla.
Stir in Peanut Butter
Sift in Dry Ingredients
Stir into Cream Mixture
Bake at 350 until done
