Old Fashioned Tea Cakes

This is a recipe from my grandmother "Nunnie"

  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 CUP Shortening
  • 2 CUP Sugar
  • 2 TBSP Water
  • 1 TSP Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 TSP Salt
  • 3 CUP Flour
  • ALTERNATE Variety
  • 1 CUP Butter
  • 2 CUP Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 4 CUP Flour
  • 1 TSP Baking Powder
  • 1 TSP Vanilla
  • Mix wet ingredients together well
  • Sift dry ingredients and add to wet
  • Roll out and cut with cutter
  • Bake at 350
